Darius Elmore

Darius Elmore is a classically trained Countertenor pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Ithaca College. He is active both on the operatic and concert stage, having performed in venues in Los Angeles, New York City, Washington, D.C., and various locations around the United States. Darius has participated as a semi-finalist in the George Shirley Vocal Competition and has been invited to sing in residencies with composer, Libby Larsen, during her residency at Ithaca College; has sang in masterclasses for artists, such as: Darryl Taylor (University of Irvine), Timothy Long (Eastman Opera Theatre), and Opera Noire (New York City). His work has been celebrated by President Barack Obama and the first family, as well as, Barry Manilow; Earth, Wind, Fire; and Denyce Graves, under the direction of Duke Ellington’s Show Choir. He has debuted commissioned pieces by composer Aaron Crouch; as well as, taking part in debuting Craig Johnson’s Considering Matthew Shephard under the direction of Ithaca College’s Choir. He is very excited to collaborate with On Site Opera Company in his inaugural professional debut as Miles in The Turn of The Screw.
