The Tale of the Silly Baby Mouse

The Bronx Zoo

A 15-minute operatic adventure featuring incredible puppets and chamber orchestra!

On Site Opera’s inaugural production of The Tale of the Silly Baby Mouse was conceived for site-specific performances at the Bronx Zoo in June of 2012. With bold, large-scale puppets and a live a chamber ensemble, this production is perfect for family venues and school performances. It can serve as a wonderful introduction to opera for new audiences, as well as a chance for more experienced opera-goers to hear a charming, but rarely-performed, Shostakovich gem.

The Tale of the Silly Baby Mouse is available for school and outreach performances.
