On Site Opera

WHERE WILL YOU FIND YOUR OPERA?

A Letter from the Artistic Director

The thrill of being a patron of On Site Opera is that you never know where you will experience great opera…The Bronx Zoo, Madame Tussauds New York, The Cotton Club in Harlem, or the Fabbri Mansion on 5th Avenue. On Site Opera not only produces extraordinary opera but does so in nontraditional spaces in which concept, storytelling, music, and performers unite to form a meaningful immersive experience. Our productions are held throughout New York and cater to all ages, audiences, and opera backgrounds.

Your contribution allows us to stage opera of the highest quality and to provide education and outreach programs to the New York community. As a Donor, you will also receive benefits created to enhance your experience, and you can take pride in knowing that you are a vital part of New York’s opera community.

Make a donation by May 1st to assist with the costs of our upcoming production of Paisiello’s The Barber of Seville and receive reserved seating tickets to our performance as well as special behind-the-scenes events! Performances of The Barber of Seville will take place June 9, 11, 12 and 13. For more information, please visit: www.osopera.org/productions/barber

Sincerely,

Eric Einhorn, Artistic Director

Founded in 2012, On Site Opera is dedicated to producing site-specific opera in non-traditional venues throughout New York. On Site Opera molds its productions to specific locations using physical space to create an environment in which the concept, storytelling, music, and performers unite to form an immersive, cohesive, and meaningful whole. Praised by BBC News as “innovative” and by The New York Times for their “seductive” productions, On Site Opera has presented Shostakovich at The Bronx Zoo, Gershwin at Harlem’s legendary Cotton Club, and Rameau at Madame Tussauds New York and the Lifestyle-Trimco mannequin showroom as well as a site-specific workshop of Clarimonde by Frédéric Chaslin and P.H. Fisher. On Site Opera, a registered 501(c)(3), is a member of Opera America and the New York Opera Alliance. For more information, please visit: www.osopera.org
