  • We had a wonderful workshop presentation yesterday of Michi Wiancko and Deborah Brevoort’s “Murasaki’s Moon” with Yoko Reikano Kimura (koto), Satoshi Takeishi (percussion), Kaoru Watanabe (Japanese flutes/percussion/taiko) and the Aizuri Quartet. This music is simply mesmerizing! 🌸🎶 #MurasakisMoon #worldpremiere #newopera #operaworkshop
  • Our very own Eric Einhorn attended the opening night of The Tale of Genji: A Japanese Classic Illuminated 👘 last night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art! The exhibit celebrates an artistic tradition inspired by Japan’s most celebrated work of literature, “The Tale of Genji” written by Murasaki Shikibu, which is often referred to as the world’s first novel. We’re so honored to present the world premiere of Michi Wiancko & Deborah Brevoort’s “Murasaki’s Moon” inspired by Lady Murasaki 🌸, in tandem with this exhibit at the Met. The opera is a co-commission with the @metmuseum and American Lyric Theater. #MetGenji #MurasakisMoon #WomensHistoryMonth #TaleofGenji #TheMet
  • Waddle you be doing on February 2? 🐥 We’ll be celebrating Take Your Child to the Library Day at the @gwlibrary with our production of Baby Mouse! 👶🐭
  • We can’t wait for the world premiere of 🌸 Murasaki’s Moon 🌸 on May 17, 18, & 19 in The Astor Chinese Garden Court at @metmuseum! #murasakismoon
