Michael Kuhn

Michael Kuhn (he/him) Described as “an artist of almost terrifying magnetism” (The Observer) and praised for his “clear and robust tenor” (Opera News), Michael Kuhn is a versatile singer and actor who has appeared on the stages of Broadway, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and more. In 2023, Michael made his Broadway debut as an original cast member in the revival of Sweeney Todd, where he performed in the ensemble and understudied the role of Adolfo Pirelli. In New York City, Michael has appeared Off-Broadway as Basel in ¡Figaro 90210!, and as Romano in the world premiere of Stonewall with New York City Opera at Jazz at Lincoln Center, performed in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. In addition to his work in theatre, Michael has enjoyed an expansive career in opera and classical music. He has performed with Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Des Moines Metro Opera, Virginia Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Opera Omaha, Central City Opera, Syracuse Opera, The Princeton Festival, and others. Michael has appeared with On Site Opera in their productions of The Secret Gardener (Podestà) and Gianni Schicchi (Gherardo). He has also made several international appearances in France as a soloist with the Festival Lyrique-en-mer. Michael’s career in symphonic works has included performances with MidAmerica Productions at Carnegie Hall, the Omaha Symphony, Pacific Symphony, the New York Choral Society, the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, and the Carolina Philharmonic.
