Winter takes a witty and delicious turn with On Site Opera’s new production of Jim Luigs and Scott Warrender’s  Das Barbecü at Hill Country Barbecue Market in the Flatiron District. A nod to Wagner’s Ring Cycle merged with a comedic Texas fable, the songbook ranges from Broadway to Texas swing, from jazz to twangy country and western as mismatched lovers meet on the day of their double shotgun wedding with five actors playing more than 30 outrageous characters at breakneck speed.

A full cash bar is available with all seating sections. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

Running time: Approximately 2 1/2 hours with intermission
Language: English
Audience in “Dinner Seating” will be seated in chairs at long tables for the duration of the performance. Dinner will be served family-style at each table, including vegetarian options. Non-alcoholic beverages included. Be prepared to share with your table mates!
Audience in “Bar Seating” will be seated on bar stools for the duration of the performance. Non-alcoholic beverages included. There will be no food service available at bar seating. The restaurant upstairs will be open before the show if you would like to eat prior to getting seated.
Performers will move throughout the space, including all sides of the audience.
There will be minimal audience interaction.

TICKET REFUND / EXCHANGE POLICY

On Site Opera does not offer refunds for ticket purchases for this production. Ticket exchanges are possible with at least 48 hours notice, pending availability.
