Adelmo Guidarelli
GRAMMY award winning soloist, Adelmo Guidarelli is known for having a voice that is “both deep and powerful” that cuts easily through the orchestra “with a pleasing timbre.” This season, Mr. Guidarelli performed the role of Frank in Die Fledermaus with Amarillo Opera; Zuniga/Morales in Carmen with Helena Symphony; and Capulet in Roméo et Juliette with Sarasota Opera. Future seasons will see several role debuts including Germont in La Traviata, Tonio in Pagliacci, Scarpia in Tosca, and the title role of Rigoletto.
Prior operatic engagements include Sharpless in Madama Butterfly with Pensacola Opera; Dulcamara in L’elisir d’amore with Opera Las Vegas and Opera Theater of Connecticut; Benoit/Alcindoro in La bohème with Salt Marsh Opera;; Leporello in Don Giovanni with Geneva Light Opera and Salt Marsh Opera; Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro with Opera Tampa; Morales/Zuniga in Carmen with Opera in Williamsburg; Sacristan in Tosca with New Jersey Festival Orchestra; Dick Deadeye in Gilbert & Sullivan’s H.M.S. Pinafore; Sulpice in La fille du Regiment with the Wendy Taucher Dance Opera Theater; Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola with Opera Las Vegas and Bob Jones University; and Alidoro in La Cenerentola and the Warden in Jake Heggie’s Dead Man Walking with Shreveport Opera. Adelmo joined Central City Opera for the roles of Dr. Grenvil in La traviata and the Inkeeper/Governor in Mitch Leigh’s Man of la Mancha for their summer festival. Mr. Guidarelli stars in his one man show, Operation Opera and was also featured in two SONY Play Station commercials.
