Yasmina Speigelberg
Hailed for her “enchanting” playing (NY Classical Review) and her “lambent tone and
persuasive phrasing” (Oberon Grove), Yasmina Spiegelberg is the laureate of multiple solo and
chamber music international and national competitions and was an Ensemble Forward Grantee
through Chamber Music America. Yasmina was a guest soloist with the Norwegian Chamber
Orchestra, the Nomad Symphony Orchestra (France), the String Ensemble Rapsodia
(Switzerland). She is an alum of Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect and has appeared at
Avaloch Farm Music Institute, the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, Caramoor, Chelsea
Music Festival, TIME: SPANS Festival, Yellowbarn, and with renowned ensembles such as
American Modern Opera Company (AMOC), Argento New Music Project, New Jersey
Symphony Orchestra, On Site Opera, and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. She’s the Principal
Clarinetist of Pegasus: The Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of New York. She was a
designated substitute on the Broadway Show Camelot. Her chamber music collaborations
include Lucy Shelton, Mark Steinberg, Roger Tapping, A Far Cry, and Frisson Ensemble.
Yasmina has appeared as a clarinet professor at Juilliard Pre-College, as a teaching artist with
the Harmony Project at Juilliard, and has been on the clarinet and chamber music faculty at the
Young Artists Program at Yellowbarn. She is a clarinet faculty at Riverdale Country School. She
holds degrees from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo,
and University of Southern California, where she completed an Artist Diploma with Yehuda Gilad.
