Kiena Williams (she/her), Soprano & Brooklyn native, brings “thrilling” passion (OperaWire) to the stage with her rich vocal color and heartfelt interpretation. Some recent features include: Daniel Fish’s “Bold New Work” Most Happy in Concert (Williamstown Theater Festival), Elizabeth Greenfield Award Competition (James Toland Vocal Arts – Finalist), Simon Bore the Cross Lenten Cantata by Margaret Bonds (Ray of Hope Church ATL- Soloist), National Music Festival (Vocal Apprentice), Grace McLean’s In the Green (Hildegard Mouth-Mannes Opera), New York District Round 2021 (Laffont Competition), Great to Be Here (Album-Liam Forde), L’amico Fritz (Caterina,Suzel Cover- Teatro Grattacielo), 2021-22 Young Artist (Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy), Cosi Fan Tutte (Fiordiligi Cover- Opera NexGen) & Celebration of Voice Gala (Studio LIS Voice).
Ms. Williams serves as a Conductor and Outreach & Public Schools Manager at the Grammy Award winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus. Kiena is an alumna of LaGuardia High School and The Pennsylvania State University where she received her Bachelors of Arts. Kiena travels domestically and internationally as a featured soloist, chorister & background vocalist, most recently featured in the “End of the World Choir Festival” in Argentina with Essence of Joy Alumni Singers under the Artistic Direction of Dr. Anthony Tony Leach. Ms. Williams can also be seen featured in various projects and services at First U Brooklyn under the music direction of Adam Podd.
