When we first launched On Site Opera in 2012, I could never have imagined what the company would grow to become. What began as an artistic experiment has grown into a community of people dedicated to the power of site-specific opera – not only through productions, but through new work development, deep community partnerships, and robust participation in the national arts conversation. As I reflect on our first ten years, I am grateful for the partnerships we’ve forged with artists, venue and community partners, staff, trustees, donors, and audience members. Through these partnerships, we have had the opportunity to reach thousands of people all around the world through in-person and remote productions.
As we embark on our second decade, I invite you to join us for a joyful season celebrating what we have created together and for what lies ahead. I look forward to sharing our immersive, site specific productions with you in the coming year!
