Open Production Positions
STAGE MANAGER & ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER
Seaport Project (title TBD)
at South Street Seaport Museum on the tall ship Wavertree
Audiences will experience performances on different areas of the ship including Juliana Hall’s “Ahab,” Claggart’s aria from Billy Budd, and Damien Geter’s “1619,” a choral piece based on the narratives of enslaved humans on the theme of enticement. This is a fully staged production with COVID19 protocols in place. Performers and OSO staff will be required to be fully vaccinated.
OSO seeks stage managers and assistant stage managers who have interest in and connection to the material. It’s important that the voices in the room reflect the varied perspectives in the performed pieces. SM/ASMs must read music; however, opera experience is not required. Site-specific theatre/event production is a huge plus.
Performances: Aug 27-Sept 2 (6 perf total)
SM – $3,000
To apply for the open stage manager or assistant stage manager position, please follow the appropriate links above and read General Production Recruitment.
