This has been such an inspiring year of site-specific opera! Wasn’t it remarkable to watch the 100-year-old lightship Ambrose sway in time to Puccini’s sumptuous overture of Il tabarro? And who could forget the little girl in the audience at our free community concert of The Magic Flute who saw herself as a conductor, leading the singers from her seat? These are the one-of-a-kind moments that illustrate On Site Opera’s impact, connecting new people to opera and connecting people to opera in new ways through our unique site-specific mission.
